it's cute space. I'd prob paint the cabs. the golden oak really isn't doing much for the space.

without completely reworking the sink and the appliances, not really sure what you could do w/that corner. have you thought about moving the sink way to the left, maybe put the bench under the window (or something else) and move the shoe rack thing to the corner (dead corner)?

you could remove one of those uppers. I realize the sink won't be under the window, but having it right there limits your options.

why don't you look at Pinterest laundry rooms and see if anything sticks out?

I had a similar dilemma and purchased stackable washer/dryer. Then you have room for a 36” lazy susan corner cabinet or a “blind” cabinet. We had to do the latter as I did not have 36” to the right of my sink. Just need to paint and get plumber in to hook-up sink!!!

Being stuck inside has caused me to notice more areas that can be improved too but to work with what we already have (imagine that!). It isn't always magazine perfect but re-thinking organization throughout the house has made the time home a gift.

Personally, storage is important to me and I'd paint the uppers before getting rid of them. Do you have any paint on hand? White, charcoal or maybe even make your own tint of the wall color? I'd capture that unused space in the corner and stash things that are needed but not often used, like bulky linens or pillows stored in Zip Spacesaver bags. Things that can easily slide in and out of the opening without scratching up your washer.

If you wanted to get really DIY, you could stick velcro tape under the counter and make a "drape" out of fabric or a white sheet to cover up whatever you store. A tall, white laundry basket in the opening can slide in and out and if the bottom shoe shelf isn't used, you can place a pretty basket there for a wastebasket.

IMO most of the shooes on that rack could be in your closet that area could then have a pullout pantry type cabonet for all the stuff you need in the laundry.With all the cycles available with washers and dryers I reall think you need maybe just one wall mounted spot to hang the odd thing it could fold against the wall. What I see lacking is folding space and honestly I have never had a laundry sink and have never missed one and now as mentioned with all the cycles you don’t need one so I would just have that space as nice folding area. You could do stacking but you have the space so why. I know you have a blind corner use it for a waste basket for the lint out of the dryer and the stuff in pockets. I would paint the cabinets maybe a fun color .

Keep three things in mind before you settle on a stackable:

- How tall are you? I was interested in a stackable, but when I "tried one" at the store I realized it isn't for short people like me. It just wouldn't be easy for me personally to use.

- Those front-loaders (whether they're stacked or not) are space hogs. They're really deep. Since this space already exists, measure carefully and be sure you'll have a comfortable work space left.

- Consider how you'll pull out the heavy machines to clean the lint /keep the dryer fire-safe.

Thoughts:

- Could you use the blind corner space for emergency supplies stored in boxes? It looks like a space that's difficult-but-not-impossible to access.

- I've never had /never wanted a laundry sink, but I don't think I'd want to pay to remove it. I think I'd get a large wooden sink-cover, which would make the sink into a folding area.

- What are you storing under the sink? Are you making the most of that storage?

- This is a very small thing, but -- given that this is a work space -- I'd hang the zebra picture on the wall, opening up a small bit of space.

- What are you storing in all those upper cabinets? Are you making the most of that storage?

- I don't love the drying-hanger. It seems to block access to the machines.

Doing a washer/ dryer stack would be one way to deal with it. Downsides to a stack though so I would weigh that possibility carefully before committing.

You might consider replacing just the doors on the cabinets w/ Shaker doors. I don't know which would be least expensive--replace w/ Ikea vs just replacing the doors?

Just personal taste--Turquoise is my favorite color so I like what you have. Still, I would change the paint to a lighter/ brighter/ more pure turquoise. The color you have is what I would call a 'moody' color. Again, that is personal. If you love it, leave it.

This is the turquoise that I used on the floor in my postage stamp sized laundry closet/ room. Way too wild for walls but I adore the small splash on the floor. Makes me smile. I keep a link to it on my desktop so I can click on it anytime I want to see it!

What do you think about painting top cabinets black. You can take off a couple of doors and get pretty storage baskets the color of your wood countertop to tie everything together. Black and white like your zebra print :)

I would put a false door on that corner space and find other storage.

The upper cabinets seem low to me. Can you open your washer door fully? I might move them upwards if you can reach that.

I would probably also put a false door in the open lower corner. And maybe consider one less pair of uppers. Maybe leave off the left ones so there’s nothing in that corner.

just my opinion. You’ve done a lot with the space already and it’s nice already so nothing urgent. But the above us what I might try.

Tomorrow I'm going to ask my husband for one more remodel job. After the glam laundry room he said that was it! :o I want that oval window in the picture above. And I want it in my bathroom. How hard could it be to knock out some brick, cut the sheetrock and stick a window in the hole?

It looks like you could use a laundry sorter for that corner spot. It's practical and easy to roll in and out too. Upper cabinets look fine, the wood gives it an inviting look. I would add additional lighting under them. A second option is pictured below.
