The almond can work with the navy as long as it is the right tone. I wouldnt do an overly deep navy. I would choose something Like

Ben Moore Gentlemans Gray seen here

or Ben Moores Van Deusen Blue seen here

They are softer and can carry the softer tone of the almond. Especially if you brighten up the vanity with some great hardware.

Are you planning on keeping the faucet? What does the lighting look like? A brighter shower curtain as well as removing the towel ring from its position (really odd there) and taking down the floating shelves and placing a piece of art there will help to transform the space.

Your instincts are correct for the blue tones with the gold and the almond, paint htayt vnity and get a new mirror in your gold. I would get new floating shelves in a more modern shape and paint them the new blue (light grey/blue or light green / blue, to open the space up. new almond curtain for the shower too.

I would also consider painting your grout lines. I believe the product name is Grout Renew found in Home Depot or Lowes. You use a small paint brush and only takes an hour. It holds up remarkably well.
