We painted our cabinets, and it was a huge job. I was on the fence about doing it,, but after they were painted, I was so happy that we went for it. Please show us the end result!

Here's an update so far, bad lighting but I'll get a better pic when it's all done! Thoughts? I could have chosen a better choice in backsplash (now that I'm seeing it all together), but that's okay, hopefully some under cabinet lighting will spruce it up!

You are working hard. I have to admit that I didn't love the backsplash tiles with your counter- seem a little cool in coloring and personally feel mosaic tiles in that style have passed their prime. BUT it is just backsplash and probably the cheapest part to replace if you aren't loving it in a few years. Enjoy your hard work.

@Gcubed agreed! I didn't love it after the install, really wished I wouldn't have rushed it, but i'm only to blame for that lol.

Honestly,, I thought it looked very nice in the prior picture above (when I asked what it was).

I agree it looks less good in these newer pictures but it might be the angle, it might be lighting? Definitely wait until all is said and done and you can see the whole picture before you do anything about the backsplash. (like with bottom cabinets in and all that!).

I am not a fan of the small mosaic tiles but yours DON"T look like the ones that are overdone and dated. Keep the faith.

I think the backsplash looks great and goes nicely with your granite and cabinet. It’s subtle and reflects the light. I think it can read timeless, because it is a soft simple color mix. Give it time to settle in and enjoy it.

How about painting them but maybe a butcher block island or countertop to warm up the white kitchen.

your project looks great. Whatever color you pick for walls - pick three - five and do a couple of swatches that you can see by your backsplash, near your floor and on a large wall. Then look at it in different light - natural light, if room gets early or late sun and then at night. If you pick the right color, it may help integrate your splash and countertop more easily. We have had two houses completely repainted and both times, the shades I thought were perfect ended up not being used - too cool, too grey, yellow or pink cast. But, my choices were all shades of a white - so maybe not an issue if you pick an actual color. 😊 Good luck.

I was not a fan of the backsplash at first but the new pictures actually look better when you step back and look. At this time a pop of color for accessories would be a good idea. You did a nice job overall.

Good job! From a distance, the backsplash looks more cohesive. The flowers are lovely. And when your fridge dies, you can get a counter depth one!

Are you going with gold finishes? If not, I'd go with something like the picture I'm attaching. That's just my opinion...I'm not a pro! I think open lanterns are easier to dust and clean. Glass is a pain... trust me... I have glass pendants!

I think that style is too traditional and foyer looking. Check out a style like a round ball Tech Akova pendant. My neighbor selected 3 long slender cone shaped pendants and they look amazing.

I am in awe of 1- how great it looks and 2- how amazingly incredibly fast this was!!!

I will weigh in that I happen to love those no glass pantern pendants ( and I bought 2 similar ones to hang over my island in my kitchen ). I really do like the no glass for cleaning and ALSO I have found that some, when you need to change the bulb, can become a big ordeal.

I really like that Syrma one a lot. Very different (also rather large).

@salonva I do love the symra, but I think it would be too much for my space. I think I'm going to go with the one that @Ac Lb recommended!

Editing to add, the prices on wayfair/birchlane etc are forever changing. I paid way less and they are even now on sale for less. but just to give a visual

thank you for the follow up. From looking at them closely though I can see they are larger than the whole distance so the 3" is probably more like 4 "or5" long. yes? anyway they do look nice!

@salonva yes I just checked the description and the actual length of the 3” from end to end is 5 3/4” and then the drawer pulls are around 7” end to end.

We might just try adding under cabinet lighting and hardware onto the cabinets. Once you install the backsplash you might find you love the color of the cabinets.
