Looks like P&G has created another money generating scam. The newest addition is their 9 Elements branded laundry detergent and mock of fabric softener. Ironically the ingredients are the same for both, minus the 2 surfactants in the detergent. No enzymes. It looks like they are trying to market it as a way to 'purify' and 'rejuvenate' clothing from hard water build up. This may be beneficial for a very small population, but likely would require numerous washes for significant effect.

One picture on the site states that it removes armpit sebum stains from a white tee shirt. However, they soaked it for 2 hours prior to washing using the detergent. Using a soak with vinegar and a hot wash with any surfactant should in theory remove an armpit stain regardless of detergent used. Not sure how well this product will sell, but I am largely skeptical of its performance. I might just have to buy some for sheets and towels and use the sanitize cycle if worse comes to worst.
