how close to the lights are you putting them ...

the compacted top growth looks odd.. wonder what that is all about ... maybe its a positive with the additional light???

with this type of minor leaf damage.. its hard to date the insult to the leaf ... it could have occurred weeks ago .. and the problems solved .. and now you actually see it .. but there is no current problem to solve.. but in trying to solve the prior problem.. you actually do more harm .. ... when did they go under the lights ...

I have pebbles at the bottom and am careful not to over water. We are potentially moving this summer so I do not want to plant them in the ground outdoors. I will be moving the jars outside soon, but overnight lows are still getting to down as low as upper 30s.

I have them about 10-12 inches from the florescent light when I turn that on to supplement sunlight since they are only getting a couple hours a day of that. I have been doing this about every other night for the last 2 weeks.

I don't see signs of sunburn. I think the plants would be happier if they were planted in a pot with drainage holes (versus being planted in a jar). What direction does the window face and how far are they from the window? If you are using artificial light, the plants need to be much closer to it... inches away, and I prefer to give them 15 hours of artificial light a day, during normal waking hours.
