Arborcoat is a good stain. If it's not put on correctly, though, you'll get poor results. I would guess that either the surface wasn't prepared properly or the stain was applied too thickly. We have Arborcoat brushed onto our house and it's great.

One painting company did try to spray on a semi-solid stain at one point and did so too thickly causing issues such as peeling, flaking, and cupping of the shingles.

wood might of been wet when it was applied. unfortunately to fix it it will need to be stripped theres many good stains sikkens is really good

thx. can I get the same type of color with sikkens? would you recommend that I go that route instead of trying arborcoat again?

you can get it in sikkens since it's a solid stain
