what to do with this room

Hi. I have an office/library room and I have a dining room and a family tv room. But what do I do with this room? Just bought the house so these are the previous owners style. We have a mid century beach style since we live in florida

I live in such a small house (the norm in my high cost-of-living area) that I always marvel when people have rooms that they don't know what to do with. I was going to suggest an exercise studio, but it look like the front door opens directly into this room, is that right? That argues for a more formal area. But if that doesn't work for you, put up a freestanding screen and set it up for whatever activities you'd love to do looking at that nice view of the pool.

The P.O.'s iguana side table amuses me.

Is this going to be your main living space? Will there be a TV, or is this just a sitting area? If it will include a TV, I'd design it more like a family room--casual and comfortable.

You can still use the above inspiration photos as a starting point. Just make it a conversation area/library/music room instead.

IMO every house needs to have a nice space for conversation with no TV so I would make it a very nice living room

You don't need to decide a room's function as soon as you move in. Live there for a few months and let your lifestyle dictate the room's purpose. The house's flow will play a part in that as well. IMO, the best thing to do with a room is "use" it.

Lol. I know. My son thinks that table is so fun. Boys lol. I have never had a house this big which is why I’m so lost on using it

Is a conversation room practical for your space/would it get used? If you don't need it for that purpose, you could get a sofa bed so at least it could be used for extra space if you had guests visiting overnight. Or perhaps transform it into a formal dining area or add a small bar to make it more of a social space? It looks like it has great outdoor access.
