There is a cleaner called Resolve urine Destroyer.....magic!!

I think you bleached it with the Oxy clean. Not every product is safe for wool. I know Folex is. I have successfully use peroxide, but on nylon carpet, not wool.

It appears to be ruined, unfortunately. May I ask why you were so aggressive with your cleaning techniques? I mean, did you try gentler cleaners like Woolite or maybe baby shampoo first with no success?

Ugh...so sorry! I've had great results with Folex but I'm not sure about any fabric/fiber restrictions. I agree the OxyClean likely bleached it. Not sure how to reverse that.

You know, since you have nothing to lose, you might try dying the entire rug—maybe navy blue or perhaps black. If that sounds like something you’d be up for, I’m sure you’ll find a few here who’d be glad to advise you on the process (just PLEASE don’t do anything else to it in the meantime!)

Sammy I was thinking about dyeing the whole thing as well. Did you suggest a dark color to make sure the bleached area takes color? I thought a beige might hide the stain/bleached area

Dying the rug involves using hot water-I don't think that would work well with wool. You could try custom mixing some Rit dyes to see if you can come up with a color match and apply it lightly with a spray bottle. If the discoloration goes all the way through, you can try it on the back first to see how it works.

Seriously.....try That resolve Pet mess cleaner....works miracles....on old stains and impossible stains.
last Christmas my son's family and dog, were visiting and we went out about noon returning about 11...The dog got into the Christmas cookies, ate every one, chocolate, sprinkles, green mint, raisins and cherries, nuts....the whole thing.....and threw up on 3 ( yes three!) sofas and 2 places on oriental rugs and a couple of white velveteen throw pillows. That resolve cleaner cleaned everything.... Of course the stains likely weren't more than a few hours old....but they were full of chocolate, highly colored sprinkles etc.

lindac92, The stain is gone and so is the color, bleach will do that.
