I'm so pleased to find this hosta.

I was browsing pictures of hosta the other day and came upon a picture of ventricosa Aureomarginata. I thought it was beautiful and decided I "needed" to have one. I checked at my local hosta nursery, and I couldn't believe it, but they said that their inventory showed that they had three of them somewhere. We started searching, but we couldn't find them. I was heading back to the car, and I walked right by them in a neglected part of the nursery. They were sun-burnt and deer eaten. I felt like I was rescuing a puppy from the pound. Here is a photo of my "rescue hosta" and a close-up of an undamaged leaf. I got this huge clump for $13. Yippee!!

Nice find! I love my ventricosa aureomarginata. It does best without direct sun except early morning sunlight.

Great find! I got my very first Invincible hosta, because I recognized it in a forlorn bunch a pots back in the the corner of a local nursery. Yes, we hosta peeeps KNOW the potential. Good for you!

Really great find. Such a nice big pot of hosta that really don't look that bad. Usually deer trash all the leaves, looks like they just nibbled a bit--more like an appetizer not a whole dinner for them.
