I have the above named system model number MXZ 2C20. It’s about 11 years old And powers 2 ductless indoor u it’s, one 9k and one 12k. One of the inside units developed a Freon leak. So far I’ve been told it can be repaired by replacing the coil and that it can’t be repaired because it’s too old so it must be replaced. Of the hvac guys who have looked at it and said it needs to be replaced, 2 have said it needs to be repiped because the valve size of the new condenser is a different size, one other place said it didn’t need to be Repiped because the valve sizes are the same. i know my original model is discontinued but for the life of me I can’t understand why there’s so much conflicting information and I don’t know who to believe. All the dealers are working with are Mitsubishi diamond for what that’s worth. How can I find out the truth about what it will take to get my system running again?
