How do I hang my Serrano Peppers to dry?

The last time I tried to hang my Serrano peppers to dry, the stems came out and the peppers fell onto the floor. I've been putting them into the dehydrator since then, but that's a lot of work. Does anyone know whether it's possible to hang Serrano peppers to dry and how to do it? And by the way, I'm in Florida where it's quite humid, although less so inside with the AC running.

In Florida? I don't think you'll have much success unless they're hanging in a room with a very good dehumidifier going 24/7.

I'm not sure why you consider drying them in the dehydrator more work? I just chop off the stem end to allow air inside and throw them on a tray. 135F for about 36 hours and they are done.

I dehydrated a batch of mixed peppers last weekend. Sugar Rush Peach, cayenne, Brazilian Starfish, and Serrano. The Serrano look the longest since they have thicker flesh.

I've been slicing them in half lengthwise and removing the seeds. That way they dry in about 8 hours.
