I live in Florida and know Palmers and have bought plants from them at orchid shows. I have mixed feelings about them. They grow some interesting hybrids and do some beautiful breeding. However, ever plant I've bought from them came with problems.

I no longer buy their plants, however, I still love to look at what they grow. I have orchid friends who've had good results so my experience could be due to my bad luck.

You could buy one and see how they do. I have no idea how well they stand behind their mail order business. Its probably worth the gamble.
