It couldn't hold LP's it's too small. 19"h, 20"L, 12 1/2 w. Drop drawer is on 7". If you have any other thoughts, it would be appreciated. Thank you

I did not mention LPs. Think 45s.

This might just be an occasional table from the era.

I had my parents' mid century stereo holder and it had spaces on the bottom to hold the LP's upright. And space on the top for the various components. This wouldn't serve either function. FWIW, 45's were for teens and they were generally stored in little cases that were sized correctly with a handle on top. Theoretically they were meant to be carried to a friend's house to listen together :-)

In the end what does it matter - use it for the best function you can use for. Looks like it would make a functional night stand. Or small storage elsewhere if you like how it looks. I had a bedroom suite of Waterfall furniture and I couldn't use the vanity when I remodeled so I had the two little ends made into two nightstands for the bedroom which match the armoire and bureau which I kept.

It's a nice little piece but I don't think it is super valuable so if you can use it, just enjoy it.

Seems low but otherwise pretty nightstandy. I've seen some midcentury nightstands with the dropdown door. Would certainly work as an end table. I can't imagine a record cabinet built for just 45s but I guess it's possible.

No stamps inside the drawer? Could it be teak?

My parents used ours for telephone books, back when there were white page books and yellow pages.
