Of the 4 chandeliers you posted, I like the first one best. 2nd and 3rd are good options as well. Something about the 4th makes me not like it with your pendants (which I LOVE!).

With the styles you are looking at, I think I would go with something like this.

How many watts do those fixtures provide? Why not use the same fixture over the breakfast table?

I like the first three, number four not so much with your pendants. Can you show your breakfast nook? May help narrow it down

Second photo is taken from the family room looking into the kitchen so you can see how this light fixture relates to the pendants over the island (note: island is currently two tier and will be changed to single level).

(not a pro) Cool pendant! I like the first chandy posted by freedomplace1 - I like the graceful shape and the gold and black.

The bulb in your pendant is part of its sleek look, so I did a mockup of freedomplace's first chandy with bulbs similar to your pendant. I'm not saying this is the right way to go, but thought it might help to see the difference the bulb shape might make.

Along with the bulbs, I think the chain makes it look more traditional. Depending on your ceiling height, it would be interesting to see if you could eliminate the chain (this depends on how it's connected to the canopy):

and/or get a longer down rod if you need a lower fixture:

I have several fixtures that came with multiple down rods that could be used together or apart depending on the ceiling height.

But even with the chain I like that one best.

I actually think the chain could work well, especially now that I see the actual nook; but it is great to see the other options, as well. Beautiful renderings. And brilliant on the bulb switch; changes the whole look/vibe. I think original bulbs could work well, also - but it’s not an easy choice now! :)

And Yes, now I notice how the same bulb is in the pendant. Brilliant!

I love the last one you posted! I think it goes very well with the pendants and your space.

Your nook doesn’t need a lot of light. If your island is your primary prep area, you need good lighting. Because the three fixtures will be seen from several other areas, I suggest using three of the same fixtures so the kitchen and nook don’t look like a lighting store with different pendants.

@felizlady, that's a good point. When we originally moved in to this house, there were only recessed lights over the island and a chandelier in the nook. I switched it to pendants a few years ago when I was starting to figure out what to do with the space. I do not think the current clear glass pendants clash with the chandelier over the nook table or make it look too cluttered. But I can see how that could happen with too much going on.

Hi - what did you finally decide? I am putting the same pendants in as well

I put recessed cans over the nook as another fixture seemed to be too much once I hung the pendants.
