When we had a pool we backwashed the filter and the water drained onto the lawn. We never saw any damage to the grass even though I know the chlorine was sometimes high when we did it . I think chlorine breaks down quickly when it hits the dirt.

In your case, I would probably water the raised bed and ground area instead of the fruit trees. I think the trees would be fine but am not absolutely sure and would rather be safe than sorry. I would be more concerned with immediate damage to the trees than any lingering effect on next season's crop of fruit.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure we have so little ash it'll be fine. I know the chlorine will disapate over a couple of days.
