Another “Mostly Mom” quilt done

Four years later, I am still working on finishing my mom‘s quilts. She had pieced two large sections of these triangles. I put them together and added a couple of borders. This is the first quilt I did on my new Grace Continuum frame. She had pieced a whole bunch more of the triangles that I can use in another project.

I think I’ll donate this one.

Looks great! I agree, the border fabric accents very well!

Thanks! Bev, I guess it does look somewhat modern. I love my new frame! I wish I could make tops faster so I can get more practice. I’m planning to upgrade to a mid arm machine in the next year or so.

How sweet of you to finish your mom's quilts. You did a great job choosing the border fabric. You got me thinking... no one in my family quilts, so I'd better not have any unfinished quilting projects when I croak. My daughter is a fantastic knitter though, so I'd better to switch to knitting when the end is near.

My sister who is 15 years older than me is the only person in my family who quilts. I tried to get my daughter to take it up, but so far she does not seem interested. I don't know to whom I would leave my machines/supplies. Maybe a grandchild sometime in my future will show interest.
