You can't just replace shower tile. it's a whole process and needs waterproofing or else you'll be winding up with leaks.

It's currently a rental and they are moving out. I'm moving back in and doing a renovation so there wont be all the clutter on the counter and the shower curtain will definitely be replaced.

i aware that replacing shower tile is more challenging then just putting new tiles overtop. I've done plenty of renovations before. My question was for suggestions on how to remodel the actual bathroom. ie suggestions for tile colours, paint colour etc.

There is nothing wrong with your floor tiles or shower tiles. Replacing the vanity, vanity top, adding a beautiful curtain, towels and painting the remaining walls will give it a fresh new look and will stay in a reasonable budget.

I may consider changing the mirror to just over the vanity and creating storage above the toilet.

Can't see your lighting fixtures, but that often gives you a big bang for the buck.

As for color, that really depends on the colors you love. If I say paint the bathroom purple you are most likely going to say "No Way", but purple is one of my favorite colors and used widely throughout my home.

Every room of your home should flow with the color selections in the rooms that lead to or from the room.

What color is your tub. It appears off white. I think that all you need is a new shower curtain and bath mat.

It is not easy to do parts of something. It then snowballs.

I am going through this with a bathroom refresh. In our case we are keeping the tiles but changing out vanity, toilet and shower door.

Floor is fine, vanity could use some new paint.. start there and work your way onto the walls.

I wouldn't do white subway tile against that beige tub. I'd re-do the whole tub/shower to make it all white and get a white toilet, too.

Keep the vanity and counter as is. Go with a charcoal gray floor tile.

The tub is white so is the toilet. It’s the yellow from the tiles that are making them look beige
