I'm sorry you think this way, but this is for a serious, year-long project of ours. We need very detailed data because we don't have much experience in the field ourselves. We're trying to develop a real product as high school students, without all the prior knowledge that the designers and engineers in the business of the development of cleaning products already have.

Watched my engineer neighbor do carpentry work this afternoon. Painful.

There are some real problems with the survey, especially questions with binary options (eg would you buy?), because there are too many factors - like cost, or quality - that hadn't been discussed for me to answer simply yes or no. For future surveys, I recommend you do some research on writing survey questions, because there are also some questions that have presumed answers even though your presumptions are wrong. You ask what my "go to" cleaning method is, and then the next question makes the assumption that my "go to" is my only cleaning method.....a presumption that is incorrect.

That's actually very observant of you. And I appreciate that you kept it constructive. But for those mistakes, at least, there is an explanation. In short, it was because we needed to cut down on the number of questions and sections: it was already too long. The "go-to" question was initially preceded by several questions asking which method you would use on a specific flooring. So the "go-to" question was just to get a single answer (as an overall kind of thing, or someone's favorite method) and to direct the survey-taker down a certain path. The "would you buy" question was planned to have its own section to itself. We just ended up forcing the question in because it was the best inclination of demand for the product, and, thus, a justification of the problem.
