I'd like the seam to be a smidge less white (which should be fairly easy to fix) but if you have to get super close to see it, it's okay.

The change of direction in the stone though--we need an overall view to see if that makes sense. Sometimes it's good, sometimes not!

A gap that wide is usually symptomatic of out-of-plane tops abutting. Put a straightedge over the seam; I'll bet it rocks. If so, it's because the the seam edges were cut square and the bottom touches before the top. Grind the edges to out of square or lift each end.
