The top middle bit looks like for a impact driver, So which of these are actually mean't for the drill/drive?

I am not familiar with Ryobi, but the both rows in the top left quarter of the case I believe are different types of screw driver bits. The top row looks like five sizes of Phillips screw driver bits, and the bottom four look like state blade type screw drive bits. The long piece just to the right of the screw driver bits, looks like an adapter so the bits could be used in a battery screw driver.

Drilling & Driving Kit is for the drill, not the impact driver.

Use the drill bit set with the cordless drill; use the impact set with the impact driver.

Is it necessary to use the same drill-bit set with Ryobi or can I get another brand or an after-market?

There's nothing unique about Ryobi drills/drivers, and there's nothing special about these sets. There are hundreds of name brand and generic sets and they will all work the same way. Some of the cheaper generic brand sets might not be as high a quality as Ryobi, and some might be better quality than the Ryobi. I pay attention to tool brand reputations and I have my favorites, but there is no need to worry about brand matching expendable parts, like drills bits. Pay attention to the reviews when you buy supplemental parts such as driver sets and don't necessarily think that the premium you sometimes pay for the name brands will get you superior performance.

Except cost, which should be determined by the use for the piece of equipment. One time light use the cheapest you can find, daily hard use the most expensive, or some where in between..

Thank you all, since this is my first venture into DIY just bought these 2 for starters -

1. Black Oxide Drill and Drive bit (31 piece) - $8

2. Ryobi Impact Rated Driving Kit (70 piece ) - $13

Goal is to use it mainly for putting up curtains/pictures (definitely not daily) and maybe fix broken furniture for now.

Going to look up some videos on how to use the drill and have some 2x4s and a scrap desk to test the drill on.
