What is the desktop surface made out of?

I like the top, but would be afraid of using a stone or quartz product since it may be too cold. Mike

    The desktop surface is quartz I believe. It is a summer house so the coldness is not an issue there. There may be another manufactured countertop to consider. There are sustainable countertops made from recycled plastic that could be warmer and have similar look. There is also still corian which is a solid surface an may be warmer.
