Upholstery furniture is not an investment because it loses value the minute it's delivered.

Compared the specs on how the two sofas are constructed. You can't tell by looking at the sofa.

I’m looking at an Ethan Allen Spencer. Did anyone go with the 26” depth or the 103” length?

I have always bought my upholstered furniture from Ethan Allen starting 15-20 years ago. I moved two years ago and replaced three sofas and two chairs in the past two years during that time. I bought different styles than the Spencer, but in all cases everything was delivered quicker than I was originally quoted which is substantially faster than many retailers have been able to deliver in the past two years. The Spencer style is a good choice because all of the cushions are the same size and can be rotated such that one won't wear out before the others. The Arhaus only has two cushions, so that wouldn't work as well with that one. It is important to rotate the cushions on any sofa you buy. I recommend a Performance fabric as it is a higher quality fabric. Also be aware that on any sofa the cushions do get softer over time, so buy something that seems overly firm to you as it will soften up. EA has different levels of firmness to choose from.

We got our Spencer 103” deep sofa with the traditional arms a few of weeks ago. We love it. We picked the Barton ivory performance fabric. It’s actually a revolution fabric my local fabric store says is named “Thankful”. I went with the medium firmness and think that was a good choice. It’s much better than the pottery barn bench seat sofa we were considering. It’s heavy. It sits well.

We received our Spencer sofa July 16, 2021 and love it! It seems to be holding up beautifully! It is the deeper seat…here it is today.

Jennifer Kruse and Sharon Mohn - I'm considering the Ethan Allen Spencer and would love to hear an update on how they are doing so far. Also, I've been hearing that some Ethan Allen furniture is now being made in Asia. Would either of you mind lifting up the seat cusion to look at the large tag on the frame and let me know where it says it is made?

I am looking at the Ethan Allen Spencer 40 in depth and the Remington 40 in depth both in Crypton or Revolution type fabic. Please provide any feedback you have if you have owned either for 2 years or more. How are the cushions holding up?
