I would go with light lime green curtains and light sand brown accents, hard to say without seeing the room.

It may have been a mistake, but there's nothing wrong with that delightful airy plane. Look at the red, the light wood colour, and play with that. The plane goes on the wall somewhere. Light curtains that match the chair (is it white?), then add lots of that subtle red -- e.g. a big, happy cushion for the chair. Then add light wood colours -- e.g. hang model aircraft from the ceiling, in light wood. (Does balsa wood still exist?) Linens in the red, and blues that tone with the walls. Hang a very multi-coloured picture over the crib, that uses those colours, but one you like because you're going to be looking at it. Find a geometric rug that has the three major colours, or any two of them. It'll make you feel good. Honest.

There is a seller on etsy (flightsbynumber) who sells water color prints of plane & car models - they're beautiful & should easily transition into a little boy's room. I'd planned on picking up a handful on them & putting them in white frames on the wall.

The chair has light green stripes on the upholstery from its days in my daughter's room. I could get new covers for it, or replace it with a smaller chair for the smaller space and move the existing rocker downstairs.
