I used to have a pine tree planted in the corner of my property which blocked a service box. The pine tree got diseased and died. Do you have any recommendations for some kind of planting that is disease resistant in the Chicagoland area that will block the service box all year round? Thanks for any advice. I don't want some kind of bush/tree/plant that requires expensive upkeep (fungicide) nor frequent pruning/watering. It would be better if the plant/tree doesn't need to be watered once it is established. It would be in the back corner of the lot which is hard to water. The tree/plant/shrub can't grow so large that it runs into the two trees in this picture.
