Weed n Feed wasn't bad enough

Now there is a product called "BioAdvanced 3 in 1" or "Scott's Triple Action" or "Preen One - 3 Treatments in 1 Application." What they've done is to take regular weed n feed, which is never recommended, and added a preemergent herbicide. Hopefully you see the folly in this product, but if not, here's the folly. In my neighborhood, preemergent should be applied in January, regular herbicide should be applied in April, and fertilizer should be applied in May. If you apply 3 in 1 at any time in the spring, you're missing out on the supposed benefit of 2 of the 3 features of the product. In your neighborhood the calendar timing will be slightly different but not enough that this product would ever make sense.

Even if you are new to lawn care (ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE NEW), don't fall for this product. It is much better to apply a preemergent at the right time, an herbicide at the right time, and a fertilizer at the right time.
