Washing white sheets

I have been considering purchasing Authenticity 50 or Redland Cotton sheets. Both are grown and made in America, vintage style percale. Both brands want you to wash the sheets in warm. I love washing my white sheets using the sanitize cycle. (I'm sure Mama Pinky would have agreed). Has anyone purchased either of these brands and washed them in blazing hot temps? Any problems? (I would anticipate modest shrinkage). Also, how do they perform with reference to the dreaded permacrease in the hems?

I bought a set of percale sheets from Bed Bath & Beyond. They were stiff, dense, and hot to sleep on. When I washed them, there were air pockets that looked like balloons and could not fully be submerged. WORST sheets ever! Not anything like the percale my mom owned.

I have owned 2 sets of Nautica percale sheets. I always washed them in tap hot despite the labels saying to use either cold or warm. Both sets went through a few sanitize cycles without an issue other than excess wear. Not sure what machine you have, but finding a cycle that uses tap hot water for wash water is probably all you need if you water heater is set around 140F. Otherwise, Sanitize is your best bet.

FYI: My hot water heater is always set at 155F. Lol.

I have an LG frontloader; with a tankless water heater. The only way I can guarantee hot is allergy or sanitize.
