Hi, Use a Mirror to look under the spout. May help to see what you have. some spouts have an allen to secure them to copper pipe.

It either screws onto a threaded pipe, or it pushes onto an unthreaded one and is held in place with a set screw on the bottom near the wall. I have never heard of a tub spout having anything to do with a lever, unless you are referring to the diverter (which has nothing to do with removing the spout). Look underneath for a set screw. If you can't see, take a picture of it and magnify it so you can see what's there.

Thanks. I got it off. Turn out the threads were in the end of the spout. I stuck a screwdriver into the end of the spout and used it as a lever. Thanks again!
