Either would be gorgeous. More important is contents of the room. Is there artwork, a rug, textile, cabinets, trim/doors that you can use to help inform which white you should choose,

The Jacobean floors will be beautiful, but, you will spend all your time, making them look really good. They show every speck of dust and crumbs and dirt. As pretty as they might be, since you havent done them yet, apparently, I might rethink that dark a color on the floors. At least please talk to others that have them.

Decorators White turned light blue in my north facing room. Have you bought samples yet?

We have very dark wood floors and a robo-vac was the best purchase we ever made! (And we have a white cat to boot!)

My last home had a lot of decorators white on the walls, and Chantilly lace on my kitchen cabinetry. The decorators white looked cooler and in low light situations it actually looked like a really light grey (barely grey, really light, but it didn’t look like bright white). The chantilly lace really looked more like a bright white. My floors were cherry stained red oak in some areas, and a dark charcoal stone look tile in other rooms. So if you’re going for a brighter white, I’d do chantilly lace over decorators white.

both of your options were also blue in my north facing room. I landed on pure white and high reflective white and chose the former.

Your floors look great! If I were you, I’d hold up a lot of different samples of white next to the staircase trim and your kitchen cabinetry because you don’t want anything that makes either of those look off because they would be another huge project to repaint. A creamier white might look amazing and offer a more textured/layered look!

What am I looking for when I put a sample next to the cabinets ..something similar or more of a contrast?

Not sure of an actual color, I haven’t used that color much myself. I thought of it because you mentioned ivory in your furniture and I’ve seen a lot of photos where designers have a lot of shades of white and cream and it can be soooo beautiful. I also know that when I painted many of my walls decorator white in my last house, there were rooms where I had to repaint the trim because it made the trim look too yellow... it was a total hassle. LOL!

Do you know what color was used on the cabinets and trim? If not you can you take a cabinet door or drawer front into a Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore store and ask them to match the paint color.

When I painted white on white I used the same color on walls, trim and cabinetry and just had different sheens - flat on the ceiling, eggshell on the walls and satin on the trim.

That is the easiest way to make sure the whites work well together.

You will want to paint a large sample (8 1/2 x 11) even if they color match the color to make sure it is a really good match. Good paint stores can tweak the formula until it is right.
