That does look cool! And evidently someone wanted the one in the very center of the center shelf! I'd hate to be put on roll-up duty, though. :)

Isn't it fun to visit quilt shops while traveling? A bonus is to find such an attractive display.

Bkay, I did think of that, and you may be right. Maybe that’s why they have 40 baskets of them. And like you, I would want to unroll them before I bought and really mess up their display. In their defense, however, there were no fabrics I would call reproduction, 30s, Civil War, etc., in the shop. There were only kids‘ fabrics and holiday fabrics, which were in separate baskets, batiks, and what I would call ”contemporary” fabrics, for lack of a better description.

In the area where I live, I have found only one shop that carries Civil War or reproduction fabrics. I suppose a shop has only so much room, and they have to decide what to specialize in. I’m sure the owner’s preference has an impact on what they carry too.

I like the displays that have the fat quarters by the yardage. I'd use this kind of display for sales....out dated fabric, end of bolt, etc........buy one, get 2 still rolled. lol

Linda, we sold our Maui condo in 2019 and spent last winter down here in Palm Desert. This year was such a bizarre time. We were scheduled to arrive here on January 1, but decided to wait until we were fully vaccinated, so we didn't get here until February 23. We really enjoy it here. Instead of being on an island surrounded by water, we are in a valley surrounded by mountains. I really miss Hawaii though.
