The bottom 4 are what I'd consider boring BUT the Alisse is gorgeous!!!! Looks like something new. I can't seem to find anywhere currently selling it but will be checking with our rep at the supply house tomorrow. Thank you!

Darn, it looks like the Alisse isn't actually a light switch. It is a control panel to use with the Lutron Homeworks automation system. Seems the Foster & Lomax one is system control as well, not a switch.

Linda Reeves (Canadian House and Home) was going on about this recently while renovating her lakeside home. Don't recall if I saw it in the print magazine or online. Give me a few minutes to find my magazines...

And yes, I totally with you on this. Affordable options fall between "yuck" and "tolerable". And don't get me started on the click noise switches make. *shudders*

@tartanmeup That was actually incredibly helpful!!!! Casson shows US prices. The Foster & Lomax toggle switches are pretty cool too and nice to see a price attached. Not *as* bad as I expected it to be ($500 for a 4 gang) That's kind of stupid-expensive for this house but I was imagining worse.

The matureware brass is wonderful, you can even have switch labels debossed! 10-14 week lead time though (price be damned!) Bathroom demo starts in 1 week.

I could use a flashlight while we wait?

I may do the Buster & Punch with a black plate and smoked bronze toggles & screws.

Thanks! Yeah, the F&B & Matureware are over the limit for us too. The Buster & Punch isn't really that bad. I only need 1 lightswitch (4 gang) and 1 outlet plate. If I were spreading over multiple applications it wouldn't be possible. The Legrande Adore 4 half switches with a little nicer 2 gang plate comes out to $129. B&P gave me a 10% coupon for signing up for the mailing list which brings the 4g toggles down to $179

Coolness factor definitely worth $50 (and I"m taking it with me if we ever move LOL!)

I looked at your link to the B&P (London) and all their prices were in $, so maybe they sell to US or Canadian market. Yes, they do look cool! What I don't know if they can mount, without modification, in US junction boxes and are rated for US use.

@mtvhike Specs on the US website show as American ratings & there are US dealers/showrooms. I'll be very annoyed if not! Ordered last night in the "you only live once" category, bathroom reno starting next week. I'll update when it's installed.

I came here to ask about this since the only thing I could find was Buster + Punch. I like them a lot but there don't seem to be any GCFI options. @Holly - since you're putting them in your bathroom, how are you getting around the need for GCFI? Are you using a standard module with the B+P plate?

@A E You can (and we are) use a standard rectangular outlet module with the B&P plate. We haven't installed it yet but this is a Leviton outlet from HD. We're not doing a gfi on the vanity outlet because the bathroom is on a gfci circuit in the panel but I still wasn't going to pay B&P prices for an outlet. (disclaimer - code is ok with that where I live, check where you live)

Was happy to find this post! I've been a fan of B&P for a long time (did some projects in London and use their hardware) but the GFCI issue is what is holding me up. Love seeing this hack! Did you end up using the Amazon link above and are you happy with the two black finishes together?

Yes! We did use the Amazon outlet linked. It's been about 18 months now, we're very happy with all of it together. Here it is installed. All the finishes still look like new. Not a high traffic area (master bath) but I do take steamy showers 😁

Hi there Holly! I know this is an old thread, but i was wondering if you could share with me how the B&P toggles ”sound”. Is on and off a very loud clicking noise or no? Love the switches and thinking about doing some in my home as well! :)
