For a wall shelf that's 8" deep (projection out from the wall), what is the ideal depth for an iron bracket? Since the brackets are not the type of bracket that comes out to the front of the shelf and wraps the front edge...Should they stop 1 to 3 inches before the shelf's front edge? In other words, how may inches in depth should the part of the bracket that runs underneath the shelf be?Thank you!
