That looks like the correct name of the plant. I have it. It grows very slowly and is tolerate of lower light levels. Allow soil to dry between waterings.

That depends where you live. For many of us it’s a houseplant.

It is a houseplant for me. It is now about 2 feet tall (from the potted soil). I only have one stem.
I've been meaning to ask the forum how to propagate this plant because when it gets that tall, it doesn't look attractive by itself. I had been offered another one about a foot tall and declined. But now I wish I had taken it as I could have put them together. I think that would have looked a lot better. I didn't know you could make this kind of arrangement out of them:

Each one of these stems has two plants branching out of them. Even if you had only one stem, it still would look attractive. This must have taken a long time to grow like that!

In a a garden nursery, I saw three stems together---which were much shorter---and it looked really nice. The price was at least $60 Canadian. About a year ago I saw small plants for sale for cheap, and I thought "Ha! I know you are going to take forever to grow!" and didn't buy any. And now almost everything has gotten more expensive and more difficult to find due to covid. I am trying to appreciate what plants I do have and focus on repotting and propagating---until the pandemic is over!

For propagating them I think you just chop the top off (making sure it has several inches). The stem growing oit of the pot should grow 2 off of it, and you can plant the top. I've also read that you can chop the top and a section out of the middle (making sure to keep it oriented the same way) and root both pieces (plus the new growth from the bottom).

Mine are too young and short to do any chopping yet, so haven't tried it myself.

its very easy to take the proper latin name.. add 'propagation'.. and search.. and then hit the video button.. and find many vids on how to do it ...

its one of the most common houseplants because it is so incredibly easy to propagate ...

and once you do.. throw out the ugly old plant ...

btw.. it is not an aquatic .. and if you dont get all that excess water out of it.. it will soon be dead ...

it needs a pot with a hole in the bottom ...
