Towel holder - long cabinet pull in front of sink?

I currently have hand towels to the left of my sink on the handle of my range, and to the right of my sink on the handle of my dishwasher. I just installed engineered hardwood floors and need to get a long floor mat. In the meantime, I was thinking of installing a long (16") horizontal cabinet pull on the fake cabinet directly in front of the sink (see above). Does anyone have any other ideas to avoid walking to dry my hands while dripping water on my new wood floors? Thank you.

That seems like a great idea using the matching cabinet pull for dish towel holder. My concern would be wear on the cabinet & also you’d be covering the cabinet. Can you simply put a 3M stick on hook inside a cabinet door under the sink? I know you have to open cabinet to get to towel but.... otherwise just put the towel on the counter when you’re working at sink. That should cover 95% of the times you need a towel.

I would not do that. It will make standing in front of the sink difficult, and harder on your back, because you'll have to lean ever so slightly over that pull to use the sink. Just get the floor mat, and drape the towel over the dishwasher handle.

I see your point. The problem with that is I have to take a step each time I want to dry my hands over by the dishwasher, dripping water on the floor. Maybe there is a standing towel holder I could set on the window ledge behind the sink?

Yes, it would cover the cabinet under the sink. I thought about just setting the towel on the countertop but it wouldn't dry as well, and would trap moisture on the granite. I have a compost bucket under the sink so I try not to open that cabinet unless I have to. Thanks.

@vpierce - I was thinking the same thing about the towel pig! There was also the towel elephant and towel cat.
