Agree with @valinta. It would look better in a softer color to blend with the body of your house. If you can buy a door with the right color, you won’t have to paint it every now and then. But if you love a style that is paintable (to get the color exactly right exactly right) I would choose the style you love. A pre-colored door that is “off” color is worse than doing it yourself and the color is perfect.

Have you considered a door that is stained wood? I think it would look great!

Was going to suggest the above. Wood door would compliment as well as work with the windows.

I agree that a stained wood garage door would look wonderful on your house.

The garage door should not be the focal point and I’d choose a color that works well with the stone. Also suggest painting the front door and look for a really nice garage door style, as it will have a big impact.

IMO anytime the garge door is forward of the main entry i think the garage door needs to be part of the over all nice look of an entry so I think the idea of a nice natural wood door and also wood entry door both with glass would look great.

If you keep the white color on the windows, I would keep the garage door the same white.

I would not get a white door. I think they rarely look good and find them builder basic / cheap looking. A tan / sand type color would work. There are starting to be really nice faux wood steel doors that would work too.

You can take a photo of your house and superimpose doors. All of the garage door companies have them.

Agree with a color that blends with the stone. Wood would also be an option. White only pulls focus to the garage. Keep the focus at the front entry area.

Playing with the garage websites to “try on” different doors is a great idea. My friends installed a charcoal grey garage door a year ago and it’s gorgeous (not something you normally say about a garage door).

I live in Northern Ontario so it gets super cold up here. I’ll have to get a super insulated door. Do the faux wood finishes on metal doors actually look like wood or do they look like a bad imitation? We’re still under covid lockdown so I can’t even go into a showroom right now to look yet.

I thought the clopay garage doors looked the most authentic but it depends on the grain/color. The companies I had give estimates were able to provide addresses of similar doors for me to go see. A small sample in a showroom isn’t the same. I’m in Alberta and they were all sufficiently warm. Unless you are working/living in the garage, the average steel doors are warm enough.

I think a nice wood garage door wood tie in great to your roof and compliment your house beautifully.

If you work with a custom garage door company they should be able to help figure out a design that will tie into your house windows and a unique design on the wood too.

My friend’s garage door is in Cleveland. I’ll get you their name. They were very professional.

If you do end up going with a colored door, Amarr is less expensive, especially for more classic designs. We ended up getting a black Amarr door.

Wood front door and garage door would be very classic. Remember, they need maintenance. I also think a charcoal grey to complement the color of your house would work. Your house is already very cute.
