This is like Tinker Toys. You have to place all the different items together to make what you want. Not sure how easy it will be to find the black finish. Most is SS and Brass.

Agree with Rachel. We found a local metal fabricator (Googled it) to make a custom railing for us that was then powder coated black. This was just the type of stuff he did.

If you are set on this design ( and it really is a great “look”), Rachel Lee is right-a welder will make one exactly to your size. However, I have noticed that none of these vanities is ever shown from floor level, straight on. Those pictures would show the reality of plumbing. I don’t want to look at the hot/cold supply lines with the required shut off valves or the drain pipe even if it is done in metal rather than PVC. To me, I ruins the feeling of luxury the vanity promises. I am also cursed with the need for storage in a bathroom. When we bought our current house there was a vanity open as you show. There, in plain sight, the toilet bowl cleaner, the shower cleaner, the cleaners for the sink and the mirror resided. Every time I walked into that bathroom I cringed. Yes, a linen closet would solve the storage issue, but I really don’t want to look at the pipes in what will be an expensive bathroom.

Remodeling 1840, there are nicer options for this problem. Yes, they are still visible, but they don't have to be utilitarian.

You will need closed storage somewhere for all your normal bathroom supplies if this is an actual bathroom. If this is a powder room for guests, you hardly need to store anything. The plumbing will be visible, so it needs to be beautiful and easy-to-clean.

I also thought I’d like this look for my powder room. I got overwhelmed by having to piece it together, as was stated by Beverly. Find a local welder and then go from there.

Amy Lynn, I know if one spends enough money, the look can be nicer. My husband had broccoli for dinner every one of the 21 days he was in the hospital. Yes, I can serve it creamed, cheesy, garnished with butter and almonds, roasted, toasted, or raw or puréed. He still doesn’t like it. I still don’t like to see plumbing. Personal taste.

There is nothing worse than reading a post from someone who is unhappy with the finished project because nobody spoke up and pointed out personal experience. We worked very hard on a driveway for our first house. We didn’t know the slope was too steep for that region’s winters. After we had finished the work and spent a lot of money (to us at the time), only to find out our car had to be towed to the street, our neighbor who was a retired GC stopped by to tell us he had watched us working and COULD have told us it wouldn’t work. He knew all along our plan was faulty but just wanted to tell us, “I could have told you so.”

Look for someone who does custom wrought iron railings. They have everything needed to create this for you. They weld, they form metal, and they work to exacting specifications. Plus, they can make it black for you. Be sure to design in some towel holders!
