This might help. Apparently, peppers like to be close to a buddy so I always plant them in pairs, then the usual spacing........

Peppers transplant well. Pretty standard advice here. Just pull them apart gently, and stick them in soil. Water well. It may be handy to immerse the roots in water to help tease them apart with a fork. The stem is easily damaged, so be especially careful with it. Might handle the leaves rather than the stem. Note that some transplant shock is likely, but the effects of that usually go away in a week. The soil you are transplanting into must be warm, as in >65F.

If you are transplanting them outside into the soil, you might make a hole, fill it with potting mix, and transplant into that. Garden soil can be a little hard on bare roots.
