Maiden Home Warren - how does it sit compared to...?

I am interested in the Maiden Home Warren sectional. The compare and contrast section shows it as 24" seat depth, mid -recline and relaxed.

With a back height of 31" is it supportive enough to hit my shoulder blades to make it comfortable for TV watching? I'm 5'9" and my husband is 6"1". I don't want to feel like I'm sitting on a child sized sofa.

The term "mid-recline" has me nervous as I don't want to be sitting in a position where I feel as though I'm significantly reclined. It's hard to tell from the angle how reclined or not is "mid-recline".

For those of you that have a warren sofa or sectional - regarding the "mid-recline" how does it compare to:

PB Big Sur (not deep version)

Room & Board Stevens, Jasper or York

MGBW - Gigi

I have sat in so many sofas - Taylor King, Lee, Stanton, CR Laine and so many are close but not quite right. Part of it is, I find a sofa I like but not fabric I like and then COM options for fabric add so much $. I also don't want to spend 10K on a sofa.

Any insight or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You are both tall and IMO you require a sectional with a taller back.

@BeverlyFLADeziner thank you for your reply. I am also looking at the Crosby from Maiden Home as it may fit our needs better with sizing. I don't have a crate and barrel near me, but I next time I get to Seattle (5 hr drive) I'll sit in some sofas. The first link you sent above has a seat depth of 29" wow, that could double as a bed!

I was selecting sofas that had 36" 37" back heights. That was you can be assured that your shoulders will be supported.

If you go to Room and Board, look at the Morrison and Metro too. from my sofa research, the Jasper will be too low and the back cushions tend to get saggy quickly

Your back will be resting on the pillows, not the back edge of the sofa. The C&B also has the lower back design similar to the Warren and it's design doesn't affect my tall 6'5 son who owns it. Not sure of the others you mentioned.

A lot of low vs high back depends on how you plan to use the sofa. I currently have a low backed sofa but we have a high mounted TV. i am 5’7” and my husband is 5’10”. we both have to put throw pillows behind our heads (that rest against the wall behid the sofa) when we watch TV. if we didn’t have the sofa right up against the wall we wouldn’t even be able to do that. but we also have a club chair with a high back cushion which is perfect for Tv watching without a throw pillow. The chair has a seat hight of 18” and with the back cushion, the overall hight is 35” (or so, sometimes measures 36”).

if you want a sofa for a living room where the main use will be socializing and conversation and not a lot of heavy ”lounging” (unless you are lying down), or will have it right up against a window, then a low back is fine (and preferable with the window).
