A higher LRV isn't going to help.

Because LRV doesn't indicate a level of whiteness. LRV tells you how much light a color reflects. That's it. That's all it does. For example. If a higher LRV = more white, then Bavarian Cream should look more white than Cotton Balls. It doesn't.

If Swiss Coffee is too yellow, you need a color with less Chroma. Because Chroma is the dimension of color that tells us 'how much color'.

Not sure what you're looking for beyond less yellow but a couple ideas that are very similar to Swiss Coffee, just less yellow, are Vanilla Milkshake and White Dove.

It will work. You shouldn't need another coat.

My exprience with Swiss Coffee is it has a olive green undertone, along this line:

Ask your painted to roll one more coat of the Swiss Coffee on a large section of the wall. After it dries, compare the two coats to the one coat and see if there is a difference.

From your photo, it looks like it should work well in the basement with the bronze tone of the filigree in the rug and the sofa.

A different shade of BM white paint will cover it easily in one coat. It’s really important to compare chips in order to get a feel of their undertones.

I ended up buying a can of Chantily Lace and have him apply the second coat with that. I think it looks much less yellow than before! Thanks for all your advice!
