This wild plum was found growing as a small thicket about ~3'-4' tall in a native prairie preserve. It had ~1" plums that were a little tart, but not excessively tart. Its trunks were browner at their ~1" bases, and got smoother as they went up, and redder on the younger stems. What species exactly is it?
