And now to quilt it!

This has kept me busy for awhile as I sit in front of the TV and stay indoors to be safe. I mentioned before that Xmas theme is helping because I don't need any more quilts and these can make nice gifts. So, here's the latest. I already have the next project lurking in my sewing room.

This gets embellishments after quilting. There are beads for eyes, a few buttons and so forth to go on it. You never do that before quilting. It's 55" square.

this was a block of the month in a local quilt shop about 15 years ago. It was designed by Sue Garman, one of my favorites. They sold each block for $12 and I found all 12 wrapped up with a rubber band for $5 at a thrift shop. They hadn't even been opened. Who wouldn't jump at that. It's been sitting in my pattern box for several years till now.

What a great find at that thrift shop and a wonderful finish. Somebody will be very lucky to have that gifted to them.

It’s wonderful, Linda. What a demonstration of skill and patience.

I volunteer at an Assistance League thrift shop, and every so often we get a partilly finished quilt along with the fabric to finish it. We price them to sell, and they go quickly. I’ve packaged up Ziplock bags full of gifted fat quarters that I would probably never have used and donated them. They went fast.
