my understanding is that Plumerias can stand a lot of heat. One of the famous growers/hybridizers is in Texas, so they do grow them there successfully outside , but perhaps under shade cloth?

they might need much more water in heat and perhaps the pots got too hot and that can damage roots.

i looked thru some texas threads and people say that new plants should be kept in afternoon in shade when it’s very hot.

and they also double pot to keep roots cooler: they put the pot in larger pot and fill it with mulch. that seems to protect the roots from over-heating. but they still water ev day in heat.

if you still can’t post try searching for : pots texas.

also the pot should be light colored: black heats up too much. what’s your mix? they say due to overheating it’s not good to use gritty mix.
