If the market is 8-10K then the market is 8-10K for a reason. I would pass unless you see one in person and it is a quality product.

Think again, a pivot door is not a simple install. I would expect to hear $2500-3K quote to install a pivot door. The tolerances for install and proper operation are super tight.

$2,500 - $3,000 for a pivot door install. Why? It's a little fussier than a swinging door with lites, but not much.

However, millworkman is right about the door itself. These guys may have discovered the secret to making an $8,000 door for $4,500 with the same quality, but I would not count on it.

Get several customer (not installer) references from the seller before you go ahead with the purchase..

I see no info as to the company or where the stuff is coming from so you know "if it seems to good to be true " ??? I think I would want a lot more info about the comapny, the actul install of the door and for sure some warranty info and return policy. BTW if a Chinese company usually the return costs more than the product.

StarCraft Custom Builders, Long Island NY and the fact that most framers cannot frame an opening properly, especially for a pivot door tolerances. I may be incorrect however as it does happen......................................

Although you can't always judge a company or it's products from looking at a website, I do believe that it can often tell you a bit about the company. From what I can see MDRN website is all fluff and zero substance so if I was a potential customer that's something that I would definitely consider.

I agree with the previous posters that I would be very careful before proceeding with this purchase.

They may turn out to be a great company with a great product that for some reason they can sell for half of what everyone else does....or not.

That was off the top of my head. I do mainly commercial. Residential, non-union probably be less that that in hindsight but definitely more $ than a chuck in the truck installing a HD Feather River special..............................

I remember when the standard was 2 guys in two hours, but that was quite a while back.

What did you end up doing? I’m in Rancho Mirage and considering a large glass pivot door for the entrance to replace French doors. Did you end up getting a special tinted glass as well?

I ended up getting a $400 clear glass standard size regular door from home Depot with built in blinds as a temporary solution. Then in the end just kept it. But definitely still considering a pivot door for other projects!

btw - it looks like their website is down so I guess maybe they closed up shop?
