This is another house with clay windows and the lighter stone, like ours. I am not crazy about it.

I think your house looks great the way it is. Are all the windows the same color? They really work well with the brick.

Thank you Diana, the front windows are nearly 25 years old, they are white. The side windows are clay, they were just done when the kitchen was remodeled. I like mullions, but not the white ones on the front. I think that looks too busy. I was just wondering if the clay (same color as side) would be too bland against the stone in the front or if I should do a contrasting color via paint or the pre-made bronze.

I would go with bronze and paint all the trim to match. Ideally, I’d get rid of the odd window trim on the two front windows that continues below the window to the ground.

Thanks Rachel, unfortunately that’s not wood trim, it’s stone. I am not sure how paintable that is and I don’t think I can remove it as it goes into the brick.
The bronze is beautiful on other houses. But since I have the light stone, I want to make sure it doesn’t look silly because of the outlining contrast.

I like the clay-colored windows and I'd paint the front the same as the side. It's a nice cohesive look, not boring at all.
