Buy a new custom countertop from a local fabricator.

Consider looking at those tile sheets that are small little squares in a mix of whites that would compliment with the countertop rather than try to match it. Unless of course you find a tile that matches to your liking. Shop around and bring home some samples to explore. Vanity looks nice! Splashy kids equals maybe 6-8" high backsplash, lol.

Why does the backsplash have to be white?

There are so many beautiful tiles that aren't white that would look lovely. Matching white or any color is difficult. Even tiles that aren't from the same lot will not "match".

IMO get a tile you like in a color that works with the rest of the space there is no reason to match that counter at all. I used glass tile with my vanity like that .

Run the mirror down to the backsplash

I’m using terrazzo tile on the floor and white 4x12 on the tub surround. That why I thought a white would make the most sense. I don’t have any other tile on the wall with the vanity/mirror (BM classic grey paint only) so I thought another color would feel too out of place but I’m open to suggestions since matching the white seems nearly impossible.

Pick a colout out if the terrazzo.

Not sure they left room for backsplash and faucet. Better check how faucet will fit and operate first.

Make sure they get whatever is smeared on tub off too. Sloppy work.

There’s 4” for backsplash (and if needed we could lower the vanity an inch or so). These photos are a couple weeks old -the faucet fits (matte black) and tub looks good. The countertop is a white acrylic (came with the vanity) and I’m having a hard time finding any material/color that matches the white exactly. Is there a super white quartz that would work?

Not sure what depth they left behind vanity so may need to check if quartz thickness would fit and not be issue for faucet (drain stem in back?). Shower tile I think is thinner than a quartz so easier for cleaning behind faucets. Could using shower tile but lay it in soldier pattern across vanity at least tie the look together?

Could you cut the terrazzo tile into strips for the backsplash?

If your fixtures are not black, you might think about using a black quartz or tile to complement the black lights. If your faucets are black, it might be too much.

thanks all. I'll talk to my GC about using the same white tile as the tub (if i do, i guess i'd just schluter the sides?). There is enough space for a stone that's 3/4" thick so i could use quartz too but just can't seem to find a white to match. My fixtures are black so black stone wouldn't work well. I could try picking a color from the terrazzo but just didn't want it to stand out too much - i wanted the floors to be the statement, not the backsplash :). Maybe i could do a light gray glass tile.

I'm curious to hear how you like your vanity-- I'm considering that same model, but have had trouble finding reviews of the vendor. Would love to see after pictures, too-- I love those floors!

A piece of tempered glass and just paint behind it your wall colour or like others have suggested take your mirror to the countertop.

@amy_m_h here you go. Thanks! The vendor was fine - everything was delivered in good condition and on time. I rarely use the drawers (my kids’ bathroom) but I like the look and it’s easy enough to clean. I think it’s probably similar quality to west elm as opposed to room & board if that helps.
