Favorite Spot in your House?

I'd love to see your favorite area. Just one photo would be great and a brief description of why.

here's mine:

I love my light-filled living room (ignore the feet, lol) and the credenza is my favorite piece of furniture.

    Just finished our new ”lodge”.

zthar, your credenza is very nice. May I ask if you bought it online and where if so?

Lulu and Georgia. Beware though, shipping was a nightmare. They left it in its box on my front porch. I live alone...

    Thanks for the info!

I'm torn between two. this is the warmest room with the best light and really pretty views.

Honestly, I don’t have only one. The living room has a large bay window/bench seat overlooking a ravine. It’s cozy with a fireplace and is the hub of our home. Fond memories makes it special (learned of engagements, marriages, and that we were going to be grandparents).

The master has a small seating area with a skylight and large windows overlooking the garden. It’s a quiet spot to read, watch tv, and talk on the phone.

Last but not least, is our secluded patio where we spend a lot of time from morning to night. It has a sense of calm with a water feature, twinkle lights, a chimenia and has covered dining and lounging areas. If I had to choose one spot, it would be here. Fondest memory was a rehearsal dinner for our son and his wife.

This thread is a great idea, love it and seeing everyone's spaces!

I love the front room of my shotgun home on the edge of the city (St. Louis, MO). The room sits above the garage so it's above street level and you can look through the big windows at what's going on around the neighborhood. This room is open to the dining room. I've recently replaced all the flooring, repainted everything and updated the kitchen. The wood wall I did shortly after I bought it and I think it still works (without being too trendy - it looks better IRL). I bought this house 8 years ago and it's the first home I've every owned myself.

My moody blue, cozy TV room.

Dining Corner in kitchen where I have tea, look out the window and watch the birds.

The bathtub. Big, deep, incredibly relaxing soaking tub...

I love these kind of threads.

One of my new favorite areas in my home, is my renovated oak staircase and bannister. The stair craftsman that expertly installed it ( by himself) also beautifully matched the wood stain to our Italian wood look porcelain tiled flooring. Whenevever I go up or down the stairs, it puts a smile on my face!

I'm presently up at camp. My favorite spot in the camp is at the kitchen
table. It isn't going to win any awards in a magazine, but it is where I
like to sit if it's to cold to sit on the porch. It is totally
unpretentious, laid back and comfortable. It is not only where I like to wake up in
the morning, but also acts as my desk and craft table. I like to look
out the window to see if there is any critters moving about. It also
serves as a place for our friends and family to plop down for a meal,
play game or just shoot the breeze. Lots of laughter happens at the table.

It depends on the day. Two days ago, it was the family room. Yesterday it was the living room. Today it was the master bedroom. I LOVE my entire house!

Fun! I love my south facing sunroom, overlooks a little park.

My living room. I love the bright light, the furniture, the artwork, my comfortable chair. The whole room makes me happy.

    Our bedroom.

I love the inside of my house, but hands down, the porch is everyone’s favorite because of our fabulous view.

Many to choose from, but breakfast room is one of my favorites. I love to do puzzles and read
here. I can see the TV in the adjacent/open FR, keep an eye on cooking, and see the pool in the backyard. We still love our kitchen (remodeled 2009, but "mini-refreshed" with new paint and cornice boxes last year, all new furniture, new color scheme in FR).

First pic: how kitchen looked after 2009 remodel.

Second pic: breakfast area with new paint and cornice boxes

I know many elements are considered "dated" on Houzz, but the kitchen is warm, bright, inviting, and fits with our traditional home, and we love it.

Joseph, I want to come live with you ! LOL

Well this was my favorite spot until fall began to show it's pretty little leaves.

So just went outside and took a pic - this is what it looks like today.

Rain today, snow will be next. Can't wait for next Spring already.

Angel I would also likely choose my garden as my favourite place. The difficulty would be choosing which picture

Today, it is my Laundry Room/Butler’s Pantry. It is finished…for now. :)

Bari, like the Blue knobs. Are those fridge and freezer on the right.

is it weird to add a bathroom to this list? ᾑ4

Lindsey M - love your paper!

My description tells it all: a comfortable leather recliner placed next to a side table (holds a couple of books) and a window looking out on the back yard with seven visiting deer eating dried corn and nice green grass….two fawns are playing in the puddles from last night’s rain.

Felizlady, good thing your not in PA or you would be fined for baiting deer during hunting season. Lol.

Angel, Thank you so much! The blue knobs have wee bubbles…lol. The uprights on the right are both freezers.

Would love those freezers in my laundry room - if only I had room.

Love that wallpaper Lindsey - so colorful.

@Lindsey M - That bathroom is fantastic! Thanks for posting.

thank you all! Rifle Paper Co makes amazing wallpaper and the penny tile was DIY, inspired by an old post on Houzz :).

My favorite room is my bathroom, specifically the walk in shower. I have no photos. Sorry.

@functionthenlook, here in the south, hunters here feed the deer on purpose so they will just come up to the deer stand. Geez, not much "sport" in that is it?

Oooh…love that wallpaper. And WANT the laundry room! Okay, here is the garden “room” for Angel.

No photo, it’s dark here…my fave spot is whichever chair is in the sunshiny window, which could be living room or one of three bedrooms. I move, especially in our gray Michigan winters🥰

liasch - Thank you for pics. Looks quite enchanting. Yesterday spent raking leaves again, a bit of a pain but I'm glad i'm still fit enough to do it being over 70.

Ditto...on age. Yes, activities once taken for granted are now savoured, for sure. Indian Summer is fast fleeting, here in Nova Scotia. Wood stacking needs doing, but that is sadly beyond me...or maybe not sadly...lol.

To OP...what a great idea for a thread. Really enjoying the sharing.

Someday……that island is going to be my favorite spot!!!

All lovely spots :) tried to upload mine here but couldn’t- anyway, I have several favourite spots in our home, one, reading spot near window, another,- bedroom for sure on my armchair in front of tv or writing desk which I placed besides the window, I have moved this a few times in my room but now I know for sure the best spot is besides the window as it makes me feel relaxed more there.

    liasch - Ontario Canada here.

My window seat in the upstairs library. Love to sit there with a good book and watch the boats go by.
