I would get cellular shades that pull up from the bottom.

Architrac ceiling mounted drapery rod.

I’d do flat fold Roman shardes to replace the miniblinds or, as suggested, cellular, which would be cheaper.

Here's a soft version of top down/bottom up shades. There are lots of styles to choose from.

Thank you I think the suggestions of shades is probably the best solution Has anybody any experience with The mesh , screen type shades ? I believe they are called Lutron ?

Mesh shades will provide you with no privacy at night. When the lights are on you can see right through them.

I guess it depends upon the %, I have them in both of my homes & all you can see at night ( with lights on ) are vague shadows.

Cellular top down/bottom up shades come if a variety of colors and opacity to regulate privacy advocates glare. I installed 20 of these from Hunter Douglas about 24 years ago in off-white. They still look new (quality, style and color) eve when we redecorated a room. I like the clean design which works well with your windows.

Are you wanting drapes to add some formality? Your space is contemporary and from the photo the walls on either side of the window are not equal. A Roman shade or cellular shade would give you the privacy at night. The cellular can open from top or bottom and can control the amount of light you want in the room. As one side of the window has more wall space maybe just a panel on that side under the moulding. Or a trio of artwork down the wall and add a tall slim plant on the other side.

Yes . I wanted drapes because O do not like the box of the mini blinds showing . I actually like the mini blinds and the flexibility they give from being closed at night to all the open during the day or Dow yet the slats are open Our condo is modern and all furnishings have very clean lines . I think the advice given with shades is well taken . A plant and some art will do the trick . Thanks you

I had Lutron roller shades in my loft condo and they were fantastic. They come in various levels of opacity. You can spend more for motorized but in my 15 foot ceilings I did not. The chains hung to the side and did not stand out. I had 7 huge windows and they were perfect. Pinch pleat drapes on the side are not quite as modern in my opinion. I’d prefer a pocket back drape so you can have fullness without the fussy of pinch pleat. Drapes can hang on a tension cable and be hung with from the ceiling or between the windows. Great way to add color or pattern.

Aileen, yes , mine were almost indestructible , even with two rambuntuous little ones messing with them. I liked them alot, have shades now, but both looked clean & modern.
