I don't have any answers but I'm interested to hear what others say about it. Did you already buy it??

@Mischievous Magpie (CO 5b) I'm working on my wishlist at High Country Roses--so no, I haven't bought it yet. This will be my last year to buy a bunch of roses. Then I'll be out of room! I see this past year and this next year as testing years...after that my friends and family may be gifted roses (the ones who didn't make the cut)...haha!

Same! I have a wishlist of roses to buy from HCR as soon as they go on sale, and then I watch and wait for a few years. I bought so many this year, and really I'm stuffing in a few too many climbers (assuming I'll be able to get them all) anyway so my garden will be at full capacity. I'm assuming that in a couple of years it will become apparent which roses, if any, should be removed, and then I'll be able to try something new.

I have only heard fabulous things about it, but never grew it.

I bought it as a small band from HCR and while it’s been slow going I am very happy with it. So far it is small-I gave it a few months in a pot since it was so little and then put it directly into the ground. Was very healthy and put out some beautiful fragrant blooms but then went back to sleep.

I have one in a 3 gallon that I bought from a small plant. It has survived here a few yrs without much care. It willbe planted in the ground at my new place this spring. It has bloomed and seems healthy in my hot humid climate. I think it will stay on the smaller side.

Me, too, @oursteelers 8B PNW. I've realized, after ordering from several different places, that it can be best to order live plants closest to home. Roses from far did recover, but the roses from western states certainly arrived looking best. I was also impressed with how quickly all of HCR's small bands grew. They arrived much, much smaller than 1 gallon own root roses that I ordered from two different companies, but after one summer in the ground, you can't really tell that they were smaller to begin with--they all caught up. From all the places I've ordered, HCR is the best value for the price. Although I also had good experiences ordering own root plants from Heirloom, Rouge Valley, David Austin and Roses Unlimited--and would recommend ordering from these nurseries as well if they have a particular plant one is looking for. However, if I were to recommend just one nursery to start with, it would be HCR. Great plants, great price, good selection, so easy to work with and just really kind, nice people!

I grew it in SoCal and it wasn't especially big. Tina, those pics are lovely and prettier than I remember mine being.

Flowers, it is in a bed with Margaret Merrill, JFK, Sugar Moon, Bolero, Variegata de Bologna, EarthAngel, The Pope, Shirley’s Bouquet, Secret’sOut and Memoire.

So far it’s only being beat out by Bolero but it might end up being the best because Bolero hasn’t liked how wet this fall has been-it was covered in blackspot until I took off all the leaves.

A rose that likes cool, damp weather...sounds like a rose for here! As long as it does okay in our increasingly hot and dry summers, too. How much sun does it get in your garden @oursteelers 8B PNW?

Librarian, it gets about six hours-roughly 12-6. Summer here is very dry and heat is going up but still I don’t think we are ”too hot”

Wow, it's definitely a treasure if it can handle our cool damp weather. My Secret and PAoK did great job this fall, but Bolero got rust, which is the first time, as well as Le Petit Prince. I do miss dry days so much.
