Hydrangea paniculatas (like Confetti) usually have some scent to attract pollinators. Then it depends on the capacity of our noses to detect such scent. Because it can attract pollinators like bees, consider if you want it located by a high traffic location (think: bees). The plant was developed in The Netherlands. I have not seen posts about it since it was introduced in 2014 but it was mentioned in passing by people listing new cultivars and they stated it was supposed to grow 4' by 4'. Information from Nature Hills says 5-6' by 5-6'. Information from Spring Hill Nursery says it is less than 4' (45 - 47 inches) by 4' (28 - 30 inches). Oddly, the patent says it is not even 2 feet height/spread. Maybe someone that has it might chime in.
