Is post driven or concrete fencing best long-term?

In Ottawa, ON, Canada and wondering if post driven or concrete secured fencing installation is recommended? It seems frost can crack and damage concrete from reviews. Please share long-term experiences. Likely going with PVC/aluminum hybrid style.
