Butting in - with beautiful chair, and its angles - I like the simpler lantern, and not the "competing" style of the first.

I like the first chandelier you showed, Julie. I came across it as well, but passed on it as an option because it was not one of the silver finishes you had specified . Knowing now that you are open to a distressed white finish, I think that is a very French country looking option. It would look nice in the space in my opinion.

Njmomma..nice selections but they are too small…I have a 60” round table..32” is my smallest size that I am comfortable with.

Nicci…yes it is pretty..don’t want any beads so that was what I liked…the chandeliers that come with beads always have those small holes to attach them I would rather not have that.

We have been living in our newly built home for five years, still don’t have a dining room chandelier… Clearly I will not be of much help, but wanted to say I have a lot of empathy with your dilemma as there are so many different types and it is an expensive item - you want it to be right! I love following your thread…

How do you like the Visual Comfort ( in silver or nickel ) chandelier I sent ? It has very clean lines with no beads, but is a little more simple elegance I think. ( like the house ) than the distressed white one, (which seems leaning a bit more toward shabby chic ). Also , the width of the VC at 36” seems just right for your table and space. —- I really think your original goal of tying in the silver from the wonderful island pendants was a good direction in which to go.

I think the first chandelier you posted ties in better with the chairs but the second one ties in better with the more modern look of the pendants. I don’t know if this is much help!

A few suggestions on large, silver, casual chandeliers for a 60" diameter table with a style that matches your island pendants. Perhaps you can also consider a flat black finish which can also work.

Oh no. Well, maybe a good thing. I like that chair better because it’s like a nice black dress. You can dress it up or down! With a good performance fabric, anything goes. More fun, less worry! Yay.

I love the first one of the three you posted yesterday. I am not a pro, but the chandeliers with open arms and no shade seem the best. Unless you specifically want to complement the pendants with a chandelier with shades, I like the expanse of that first one. It’s also somewhat whimsical….

Flo did you notice the blue pumpkin on the table..so cute it was made from a blue cable knit sweater! I am going to make one for the fall…love it!
No big flower arrangement for that table but a little something easy on and off it will be used daily..so simple is best.

Red Ryder I totally get what you are saying but I really prefer shades have never liked looking at exposed bulbs..and in the kitchen they will be bright daylight LED…and my husband and son in law are tall so they would be looking directly at the bright bulbs….just a preference not a rule…maybe just my rule😂🤣😂🤣

Tammy thanks for popping in! The house is pretty traditional so staying away from Modern styles. The island lighting is the only thing that leans farmhouse modern….the entire house is pretty much traditional or just a a bit leaning french.

Not sure if you have made any lighting decision, but saw this from ballard design and thought I'd share, seems to me that it could cross styles but you may think too modern. Just thought I'd share.
